I'll get together with Anton and see if we can come up something. One thought I had was to produce a framed montage type thing of all the grandkids and great grandkids - we would need photos from everyone and then we could work some Photoshop magic. I say "we" but given I have only just learned how to resize photos, I would have to rely on Anton's expertise with Photoshop!

Fiona is the scanning expert
Fiona I have a multi function device that inlcudes a scanner. I will get it over to you, maybe this weekend and people can send the hard photos to you for scanning - maybe. Perhaps you have a scanner already?
Louise's contribution
I have got some speeches Dad has made over the years as well as lots of photos. Also I have the information to get the message from the Queen so must remember to send it off in June.

Family History Album
Hope this works this time...
Grandpa has given me the old family photos and info to work on a family history album which I have started on. What I will do is get the pages scanned so everyone can have a digital copy of it. I only have Jones and Smith families and some with his siblings, there is bugger all of the Bowling side. Nick Bowling has more photos so will get him to send me copies.
Perhaps for his birthday if everyone does a few pages about their memories it would bring it into the 20th and 21st Centuries... You could do it on the computer if you aren't crafty!

The first entry
Louise and I had talked about preparing some material for Dad's 100th a few months ago that could be published on the web for people to read and add to. I wasn't too sure about what might be the best mechanism for this and sort of left things alone, but the light came on when I was in New York and heard from Yvonne that Dad had had a heart attack that I needed to get on with the easiest and quickest method - hence this Google blog - Bert Bowling.
So the idea is that you dig into your memories, box of photos, letters, etc and start sharing them on this blog. Anything that you have that may be interesting to compile into something (not sure of the structure of this!) that we can share with Dad at his 100th.
