The first entry

Louise and I had talked about preparing some material for Dad's 100th a few months ago that could be published on the web for people to read and add to. I wasn't too sure about what might be the best mechanism for this and sort of left things alone, but the light came on when I was in New York and heard from Yvonne that Dad had had a heart attack that I needed to get on with the easiest and quickest method - hence this Google blog - Bert Bowling.

So the idea is that you dig into your memories, box of photos, letters, etc and start sharing them on this blog. Anything that you have that may be interesting to compile into something (not sure of the structure of this!) that we can share with Dad at his 100th.

I am working on the family history scrapbook, he gave me old pics of him as a child and of his grandparents and great grandparents and so on. I will aim to get it finished by November.

Fiona do you think it is better to create a new entry in the blog or add a comment as you have in this case? I nearly missed the comment!
